Since 1995, Hybernation Music has been devoted to the purpose of recording and releasing high-quality music that pushes way past the boundaries of the commercial recording industry. With the 1997 release of "Giant Tracks, A Tribute to Gentle Giant", a two CD set of modern re-recordings of some of the best progressive rock music ever recorded, Hybernation Music began to release commercial-quality recordings of music normally ignored by major labels due to the limitations imposed by mass-appeal in the 20th century, and the need to make money.
